Hi, I’m Emily at Midnight!

I am a big fan of fantasy books including Brandon Sanderson’s Cosmere series, Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time, and J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Lord of the Rings, as well as many stand-alones. I also adore sci-fi books like Orson Scott Card’s Enderverse series, Martha Wells’ Murderbot books, everything Becky Chambers writes, and much more. Beyond those genres, I also read lit fic, contemporary romance, horror, mystery, and romantasy. So, basically everything. If you read any of those genres I bet we will get along!

I am very passionate about making reading a social activity. So SO many of us love reading, but feel like we have no one to talk to about the books that we are reading and loving (or hating). So, let's make a space to chat about books! I do that through my Bookish YouTube channel and Instagram, and I’m hoping to start doing that here on my website as well.

For now, this website is mostly a blog; a place for me to write my bookish musings and interact with you in the comments, but in the future I’m hoping to create an even more interactive side to this space—whether it be a group on this website for people to join, or, more likely, a Discord channel where viewers of my channel and readers of my blog can come together and chat about books.
